Hello Friends,
I’m so proud of this amazing creation of music “ Portrait Of Jesus” composed by my friends- Tom Mowrey and Cocho Arbe.
I have known Tom for many years and was introduced to him and his very unique talent for writing instrumental compositions by our mutual friend and drummer/percussionist John Sferra. John and I assisted Tom with the recording and production of a number of songs some years ago that will be released this coming year in 2024. It is such a unique collection of songs— I look forward to the release of these recordings. The album as of yet is untitled, but I assure you, if you love music it will really move you.
In the meantime, Tom and his collaborator Cocho have over this past year created an epic piece of music- portraying the life of Christ during the last week of His earthly life. It is quite moving and also an amazing tour d’force musically of the passion and emotion of that final week of our Savior! I believe , as Tom and Cocho that week was only the beginning of an amazing event which took place—and that is the resurrection of Jesus, who is alive and able to save all who call upon His name!
I play guitar and the Turkish instrument called the chumbus on this musical journey which plays over 24 minutes. What an experience it is to listen to all the amazing musicians who partook in this undertaking and production! I feel honored to be named among them. I hope the music of this project speaks to you and touches your heart with the Hope of the Gospel as its inspiration!

With all the things going on in the culture here in America and all around the world, the Holy Spirit put it into my heart to make a song portraying the life of Jesus. If you are searching for truth, meaning, purpose, true love, true joy.... then Jesus is the answer. Nothing in this world, and no one in this world can offer you this.
Jesus loves you beyond any love you can imagine and wants you to surrender your life and heart to Him. There is only one true solution to the problems in this world and that is Jesus.
Everything here is passing away.
There is only one true power, one true hope, one true movement, one true voice and that is Christ Jesus.
To You alone Jesus, be given all the praise, honor, and glory now and forever.

On a Whim made me think of UB40’s “Red Red Wine,” so I started listening to that, and then I saw it was actually a Neil Diamond song, so then I started listening to his greatest hits. Quite a trip I’ve been on this morning. jssguitars
